COMMONWEALTH FOUNDATION: LIFELINE- Rescuing Kids When Schools Have Failed
In 2009, students trapped in our most failing public schools endured seven rapes, 163 robberies, and two official riots. Those simple—and terrifying—facts haven't been a big enough part of the discussion of the need for school choice. That's why CF, along with an Emmy-award-winning filmmaker, produced this mini-documentary on violence in our failing schools. One of the parents spotlighted in this compelling documentary is a Philadelphia BAEO Ambassador and Parent Advocacy Leader, Mr. Lorenzo White. Mr. White understands the plight of Philadelphia parents who want to see their children succeed, but are trapped in the many failing Philadelphia public schools. Mr. White shares why it was so important for him to be an advocate for parental choice.
